Jocko Flocko Racing Expands- Names Driver for 2020 Campaign
As the calendar turns from 2019 to 2020, Jocko Flocko Racing is expanding to two cars that will compete in the Dominion Racer (Limited Late Model) class at Dominion Raceway in Thornburg, VA.
The Rev. Dr. Robb Almy will return to drive his second season in the Dominion Racer class at Dominion Raceway looking to improve on his 9th place points finish in 2019. He will move from the #91 Jocko Flocko Racing Mustang to the newly acquired #14 Jocko Flocko Racing Chevy Monte Carlo.
Robert Almy, fresh from a rookie season in the Dominion AnyCar class, will pilot the #91 Jocko Flocko Racing Mustang as he moves up classes.
Both car numbers hold historical significance in racing. #91 was the number most used by Tim Flock whose co-pilot monkey, Jocko Flocko, made history as racing’s winningest monkey. The #14 was the number used by Tim Flock’s brother, Fonty Flock. Fonty Flock was a colorful character that raced alongside Tim and other early racers during the birth of NASCAR. Fonty is said to have raced “Bermuda” shorts or as he would pronounce it “Bah-mooda” shorts.
The Almy’s looks to channel some of the Flock brothers’ success as they move into the 2020 racing season at Dominion Raceway.
