The 2019 race season was a season of new beginnings for Jocko Flocko Racing. Coming off a 2018 AnyCar Championship it was time to take the next steps in growing the race team.

This growth took on two paths. 2018 AnyCar Champion, Rev. Dr. Robb Almy, would make the jump from AnyCars to the Dominion Racer Class. Taking over the #91 AnyCar would be Robb’s son, Robert Almy.

Both Robb and Robert’s season would be one of learning. Robb would learn a whole new class of race car with more power and technical pieces while Robert would get his first taste of racing. The season would have its ups and downs for both drivers but would end up being a great learning experience for both drivers and a lot of fun.

In the Dominion Racer class, Robb would take home 9thplace in the final standings after 11 starts and 9 top tens. It was clear from the beginning that this new class would be a challenge for the driver and the crew. However, Robb showed great improvement over the course of the season and looks forward to gaining spots in next year’s Dominion Racer competition.

Robert showed great potential in the AnyCar class. Starting with ’02 #91 championship Mustang from 2018 Robert quickly got his feet underneath him. A mistake in turns one and two sent Robert up the track into the marbles and bent the frame beyond repair. Robert then hopped into the #51 Chevy Monte Carlo but the six cylinder just could not keep up with the other cars. Robert’s season would end when his dad substituted for him for one race and was turned into the turn two wall by a competitor totaling the car. Robert would finish 5thin the AnyCar class despite missing many races with 8 starts, 8 top tens and 5 top fives. The highlight of Robert’s season was his first race win!

Jocko Flocko Racing would like to thank Brett Barker and Henry Kulkien for their tireless work in preparing the cars. Thank you to Dominion Raceway, fans and fellow competitors.

We look forward to a great 2020 race season!
